Functieomschrijving
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the works to be executed during the TA, for all functions (EHSS, fitting, welding, scaffolding, hoisting, industrial cleaning, blasting, insulating, painting, testing, pre-commissioning, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, operations etcetera) and especially its multifunctional interdependencies.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the TA scheduling processes, best practices and techniques.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the TA tools such as Primavera, Maintasc.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities, learnings from TAs and good practices from other events/sites in the Lead Scheduler area of responsibility.
- Provide dedicated or on the job training for scheduling team members.
- Schedule and realize the mobilization of the schedulers team (from various contractors) during execution of TA.
- Prioritize scheduling activities within the team, assign resources to tasks. This team tracks progress (reporting and analysis) develops 3 day lookaheads, resource histogram (key information for TA Management and execution teams), leads recovery plans, reports and analyses completions.
Deliver detailed schedule:
- Ensure that the TA schedule covers all activities and resources, is levelled and optimized;
- Include requirements and boundary conditions in the schedule (logistical arrangements, EHS arrangements, resource availability, workload per area);
- Include Shut Down and Start Up of plant in the TA schedule;
- Include the critical path and near critical pathes;
- Include Project activities in the schedule;
- Include EHS rules, regulations and consideration in the schedule;
- Develop the provisional schedule (which is a full schedule and is the basis for optimization workshops with contractors);
- Lead workshops will all contractors to develop the provisional schedule to a final detailed schedule, with all contractors committing to the schedule;
- Then issue the final detailed schedule for the TA event.
- Deliver daily 3-day lookahead planning during TA execution, which is the basis for all construction activities.
- Deliver daily a resource histogram during the TA Execution.
- Process all changes into the 3-day lookahead schedule to ensure timely completion of all existing jobs, changed jobs and new jobs.
- Align with all parties on the final schedule.
- Monitor schedule development progress and report on weekly basis.
- Solve conflicting objectives and priorities (priority setting within Sabic ?Technical, Projects, Operations -, and between many contractors)
Direct reports:
- Leads for a Olefins TA approx. 3 schedulers (contractor employees under SABIC Lead Scheduler management);
- No formal direct reports.
Functie eisen
- Technical Bachelor Education level
- In depth knowledge of the Turnarounds work process
- Good command of the Dutch and English language
- In depth knowledge of all aspects of scheduling principles and methods and a good understanding of float and risks;
- Proficient use of IT tools (MS Office, SAP, Maintasc)
- In depth knowledge of the TA/scheduling tools (Maintasc, Impress, Primavera);
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a project or maintenance organization
- The ability to motivate and guide a small team under time pressure;
- Experience in working with contractors in the Petro Chemical Industry
- Effective communication skills
- Effective reporting skills, both verbally and in writing
